From your accommodation in Rome, our professional driver/guide will take you on a fantastic day across the regions of Lazio and Umbria. Today you will visit two amazing towns: Civita di Bagnoregio (in Lazio), a unique ancient village built on a pinnacle that is accessible only by a footbridge spanning a deep canyon, and Orvieto (in Umbria), known for its majestic Cathedral and wines.

Civita di Bagnoregio known as the “Fading Village” is simply magical. As you enter the gates of the city, you will step back in time to the 12th century. Originally built by the Etruscans 2500 years ago and surrounded by incredible canyons, this beautiful little town is less well-known than others in the area, which helps preserve its quiet and intense beauty. You will have time time explore this area without rushing!

Orvieto is an ancient town riddled with tunnels and wells dating back to Etruscan times, where you will be fascinated by the mighty Cathedral called “The Duomo”, begun in 1285. You will have also the opportunity to descend the 248 steps of the famous and mysterious St’Patrick’s Well (175 feet deep), or join the local Orvieto underground tour.

We will take you to a local winery where you will enjoy some of the best local wines and delicacies. The cost is 60 Euros per person to be paid only in cash to the driver at the end of the tour.
