FULLY GUIDED TOUR - PRIVATE DRIVER & GUIDE IN BOLGHERI

It’s hard to believe but there is still a little unknown gem to be seen in Tuscany. A jewel that has become famous amid worldwide wine connoisseurs and is now ready to let you taste its treasures. Whether you are an average consumer, a wine enthusiast or a pro, Bolgheri will let you fall in love with its special wine history, its Supertuscans production and noble roots.

The drive from your accommodation will take you South-West to the entrance of Upper Maremma. A harsh yet gentle piece of inland, along the Etruscan coast. Umbrella pine trees and vineyards everywhere are the main features of this fertile wine land together with centuries old cypress trees.

You will be delighted with the visit of the first wine estate including the tour of the cellar and tasting. An open air national monument, the five km long stunning cypress lane from San Guido will then take you to the medieval hamlet of Bolgheri. A tiny village of enormous prestige in the wine world.

During your time here you will enjoy a delicious Tuscan lunch and spend some time discovering the center of town. Bolgheri, once the home of Nobel prize winner Poet Giosuè Carducci, is now the capital of this wine region and also the birth place of Bordeaux-style wines made in Tuscany such as Sassicaia, Ornallaia and Guado al Tasso, just to name a few!

Wine tasting will continue to keep you in good company during the afternoon as well. We will visit another wine producer. On the return trip to Livorno, we will make a stop for gelato. Return to the port at approximately 5/5:30 pm.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Bolgheri is an Exclusive Luxury Wine Region in Italy. We will reserve the wineries depending on their availability and we will choose them from a list of our favourite ones. If you wish to visit a specific winery, please let us know, our tours are customisable ! All the Wine Tastings and lunch are not included in our rates and will have to be paid directly on spot. Wine Tasting price may vary from winery to winery and the cost is approximately 60/80 Euro per person.
