Tour Description

Step back in time and discover the Etruscan legacy in Rome’s surroundings!

We will pick you up at the port of Civitavecchia (Rome Port) and we will start the drive towards  Tarquinia, a town that hosts the World’s largest Etruscan Museum. Here you will find paintings, frescoes and sarcophagi that have been perfectly  preserved, considering that more than 3000 years have passed since the Etruscans inhabited Italy. You will be able to see also the Etruscan Necropolis, the tombs where entire families were buried.

Later on you might decide together with your driver  a good place for lunch!

After a delicious meal we will head on to the Etruscan town of Tuscania where you could visit the Basilica of San Pietro, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Archeological Museum of Santa Maria del Riposo.

This tour is the perfect choice for all travellers willing to avoid crowed places or that already been to Rome. A relaxing day in the countryside of the region Lazio where numerous civilisations marked the history of our Country.

After the tour we will bring you back to the port.

WINE TASTING & FULL LUNCH:
We will take you to a local winery where you will try some of the best Italy wines and local delicacies. Additional 30 Euros per person to be paid only in cash to the driver at the end of the tour.
